The eligibility criteria for all German universities is different, as all the universities are autonomous, meaning they all have their own rules and regulations. Many universities ask students to submit their GRE/GMAT scores at the time of application to engineering and management courses. TOEFL/IELTS scores are also needed in case you have opted for an English taught course. In case the course instruction is partially in German, students are required to submit TestDaF/DSH certificates to prove their proficiency in the German language. Apart from this, Germany also allows students to work while pursuing their education. Foreign students are allowed to work for 120 full days or 240 half days in a year. This has to be at par with the rules and regulations laid down in Germany and the students need a prior permission before starting work. Various part time jobs are also available for students at the universities and colleges where they study.
